Tatsuo Suzuki

Born in Tokyo in 1965, graduated from Waseda University School of Law. Began photography at the age of 43. After 25 years in sales at Fujitsu Limited, began his career as an independent photographer. An avid street photographer, he has also begun taking portraits in Tokyo and snapshots in his own neighborhood. He is a founder of VoidTokyo, a street photography collective. In 2016, he won the grand prize at the Steidl Book Award Japan, a dummy book award, and his photo book Friction / Tokyo Street was published by Steidl in Germany in June 2020.

Since 2019, he has published his personal zine, TOKYO STREET, up to Vol. 5.

He is also a founder and member of VoidTokyo, a street photography collective that regularly publishes zines and exhibits and presents photographs.
